Testimonials

The Harrison Assessment is a very good way of commencing the coaching process. It forced me to face questions about my career that I would not have otherwise confronted. I found this very positive.

Coaching doesn’t necessarily give you the answers straight away but it better enables you to ask the right questions of yourself.  I was able to understand what was important to me in my career and also the types of things I wanted to avoid.

Fran recommended that an improved network would assist in finding my next role and on this advice I started to speak with colleagues about the types of roles available. This led to being approached for a new role which I have now been offered/accepted.

The greatest benefit was doing the Harrison Assessment and then understanding what I am capable of, what I enjoy doing and going through the best fit process.

I achieved a promotion with my current employer from Office Manager to Operations Manager with a salary increase of $20,000 per annum. My self-confidence has improved and I now have Fran’s voice in my head saying YES you can do it.

Initially I didn’t know what to expect.  I wanted someone to help me, guide me through the maze of choice and options and find a career/business that suited me.   Fran was able to do this, she kept me focused and on track.

The coaching process was most valuable, the best investment I ever put my money in.

I am so pleased I stopped procrastinating and acted upon my need to find a career coach.  The process has been very interesting and rewarding.  I now have the knowledge and skills to make the right choices for ME, renewed confidence, better understanding of myself and what I’m capable of doing.

Everyone should invest in him or herself and seek a career coach there is no looking back.

Christina Kyratzoulis, Operations Manager

The greatest benefit for me has been developing a clearer, more focused and structured approach to work, and an understanding of my personality traits and how they fit with my work role. I have achieved:

  • A successful transition into a new work role
  • Putting some practical steps in place to be more focused
  • A contemporary up to date resume in terms of both content, organisation of information and format.

Also, the process can be helpful to challenge some of  your assumptions and habits and consider some other options outside of your usual thought patterns. It is a safe space where, with an empathic listener you can freely discuss anything going on at work or in your life out of work, as each impacts on the other.

Having an independent sounding board that was able to listen to my requirements and then provide feedback based upon these needs was the greatest benefit.

The greatest learning experience I had was to rewrite my resume for my ideal position and then to only apply for positions that did not require the resume to be modified ensuring a match between employer and myself would be made.

I was able to obtain a promotion from Team Leader to Manager and negotiate my needs to ensure I was comfortable with my decision but more importantly I was able to determine that the career path I was on was still the most appropriate one for myself.

Really enjoyed the Harrison testing which provided alternative occupations that I would be suitable for.

It was great to talk over multiple offers which eventuated and be “forced” to weigh them up matching with ideal personality traits and requirements.  I was made to question myself which is what I needed.

Career coaching fees should be looked at as a financial investment.  My initial investment in Fran was not only returned in full with increased salary (not to mention increased job satisfaction) but the investment will continue to return for the next 25 years of my working life.  Where else can you get returns like that?

I find myself repeating Fran’s words when talking to other people about their resumes so what I learnt really sank in and made complete sense.

The greatest benefit to me has been successfully obtaining a new position. I now have new employment meeting all of my requirements plus a great resume. I am very happy with the coaching service from start to finish. Fran, you kept me on track and made me really think about my achievements and believe in myself again. I really don’t believe I could have achieved the same outcome in such little time without your guidance, encouragement and understanding of the employment market.

The greatest benefit for me has been gaining some self confidence and self worth. The setting of goals has been fantastic for my personal and work life and has helped me from getting ‘muddled’ and stressed!! I have achieved goals and direction. I haven’t had any for years so it’s been great just to keep aiming at those goals when things have been a bit much and when I have received knock backs. It was really enjoyable to work with Fran and I think it is great for a person like me who is undertaking some pretty dramatic life changes.  It is something I can utilize for years to come.

The greatest benefit to me was that I was able to approach my career change with the confidence that I was choosing the right path and that I was presenting myself at an acceptable standard. The most obvious outcome is that I have accepted a position in the career choice that most suited my skills and personality. All of my expectations have been met fully. I have no hesitation in recommending Fran to anyone who is unsure of their current career path.

The greatest benefit that coaching has brought to me is a really good understanding of how to present myself not just on my resume but in interviews as well. What ground work to do to not only make the most of an opportunity that presents itself but how to make those opportunities appear.

I have also really benefited by working with Fran to work out what kind of job I want and in what kind of organisation, to believe in myself and my skills and hold out for the job that’s right for me.

Another part of career coaching which is very helpful is how to negotiate the appropriate salary package, which let’s be honest, is not easy for anyone!

I have finally found the right job for me. After moving through a few different companies where I wasn’t fulfilled, I am truly happy in my work.

Coaching has enabled me to create clarity about what I want out of my working (and personal) life. It continues to help me find creative ways to achieve these things. There is now consistency in my approach and I know I can rely on myself to not only get where I want to go, but be happy about what I am doing now. During my first package of sessions with Fran I have:

  • Secured a salary increase
  • Started a new role
  • Comfortably handled study of management course
  • Identified career direction and study options for next 12 months
  • Achieved brilliant results in my personal life

Fran’s methods have helped me to “play to my strengths”, am looking forward to our continued work together.

Kate, Government Employee

All expectations of the coaching have been met, and exceeded my expectations. I did not realize I would learn so much about myself. The only comment in this area is that I probably didn’t realize how much work I would have to contribute to the process. It was more in depth than I thought. 'Your Career Coach' afforded me the possibility to look through windows and be guided in recognising my potential within other industries. I have now transitioned successfully and seamlessly into a new career.

Fran first assisted me following a redundancy 3 years ago, and became a sounding board in addition to offering guidance and support during career transition. I am now operating a fruitful small business, the success of which can be in part attributed to the questions posed, and answers and provided, by Fran during its inception. Such are the abilities and attributes of Fran, she continues to be a valuable resource and friend in the third year of business operation.

Over the past 20 years of knowing Fran, she has assisted me with a number of career changes. During this time she has participated in reviewing my career directions, provided training and mentoring during these phases, always with enthusiasm and an extremely professional attitude. Fran uses the knowledge and skills she has acquired during her work life to inspire and motivate others to achieve their potential.

As I turned 40 I was thrust into making decisions on my future by an unexpected work redundancy.  With thoughts occupying my mind of family, future and bills, mortgage repayments I found Fran to help in many ways.  She put a path of learning before me that I undertook and through this process and interaction with Fran I was able to crystallise the Path that was for me. Fran as a true professional has kept in touch and always amazes me in the ventures she gets involved in.  Fran I thank you for your assistance thus far and look forward to your future assistance and wish you all the best in your ventures.

Many people think coaching is only something for those just starting out on their career. But often those with more experience are set in their ways and need assistance in assessing and potentially rethinking their path. Fran has the experience, the right touch, and the right approach to very effectively coach – she’s a true professional. She knows “when to say what” to remind clients of how to keep on track, consider other options and when necessary, “think out of the box”. I wholeheartedly recommend Fran to anyone who can benefit from a sounding board, a sparring partner or simply another perspective.

Glen

Fran was my coach during an unplanned career transition about 2 years ago. She helped me crystallise my ideals and direction, supported me when I made the decision to set up my own business, believed in me when I wondered whether I had the ability, and encouraged me as I made my first contacts and sales. Fran continues to be a source of inspiration for me, and now we even work together on common projects.

Jenny

I have known Fran for over 20 years and in that time I have marvelled at how she has continued to change roles in her career and reinvent herself over those roles. Fran has now used all those skills to help me identify what I should be doing with my Career. Her experience and methodology is assisting me towards finding out what is right for me, not just in my Career, but my life as well. I highly recommend Fran to you.

My expectations were exceeded and the outcomes I achieved include:

  • Direction in my career
  • Daily satisfaction at work
  • Commenced study although at my first coaching session I had declared that “I will not be doing any further study” - never say never!
  • Revamped and greatly improved my resume
